Streetscape
Project 2009
Starting shortly, the
sidewalks on part of South Third Street will be undergoing
a transformation. With new lighting, sidewalks, parking
meters, planters, etc. the streets will be enhanced and
brought back to the charm of yesteryear. With this
construction comes growing pains and inconvenience to our
valued customers. Please don't let the construction
keep you at bay. Free public parking is located in
a large lot behind Fulton Bank (across from the Oxford Public
Library) and off of Broad Street. In addition metered
parking is available on most surrounding downtown streets.
We are excited about the changes that will be happening
downtown - we hope you will be pleased with the results.
Oxford
is a National Historic District!

The
Oxford Historic Commission has worked diligently to form
a historic district within Oxford. Their hard work
has paid off with the Oxford Historic District being added
to the National Register of Historic Places. Oxford
is one of the largest districts in the state with over 500
contributing resources. Click here to view the Oxford
Historic Map and the Oxford
Plaque Order Form. If you are unsure if your property
is in the Historic District, please call or stop by the
OMI office.

Oxford
is GeoCaching Friendly
What is GeoCaching? Geocaching
is a high-tech treasure hunt using a portable GPS systems.
Adventure seekers attempt to locate geocaches (hidden
containers) and then share their experiences online. To
learn more about Geocaching visit their website at
www.geocaching.com. Add 19363 and try to find
the local geocaches. Special Thanks to Rick Salemeda
of Harleysville Bank for coordinating these efforts!
